Transforming organizational structure to maximize company performance
Based in Latin America, the client is a Consumer Goods company searching for organizational changes to mobilize the company structure and streamline processes. Last but not least the new organization should encourage creativity and initiative of the employees
Initially, the consulting team set up several criteria with management and leadership per area to define the organizational target structure, which included the unification of supply chains across countries, single point accountability and customer service, reduction of working capital and number of warehouses, considering the defined main premises, such as harmonization of different business units, and enabling of best practice sharing.
New organizational structure was implemented on all levels, core activities and value adding processes were aligned, together with support processes. Implementation plan and company communication was defined and executed. Improvement could be measured not only in financial results, but also in operational simplification and in daily labor processes. Staff on all levels mentioned the significant improvement of the overall working environment.
